PGDip in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Thank you for visiting SLCC, where therapy takes on a new meaning.
My name is Lauren a Humanistic Psychotherapist who believes that everybody, regardless of difference, diversity and circumstance, deserves to live an authentic and fulfilling life. As a Humanistic therapist, I value each individual as being unique and I believe that with the right support, we all have the capacity for growth and change.
One of my specialist area's is hoarding, due to the complexities of the disorder I take a non-judgemental relational, holistic approach. I have faith in the human potential to develop in a positive direction. I am gentle, warm and empathic and I believe that it is the relationship between myself and the client that is central to the therapeutic process. I work in a person-centred relaxed way offering a calm, safe and non-judgmental environment.

Another area is working with young people, having worked in both sectors of education I understand the need for us to listen and support their navigation through exams and life. Empowering their self-esteem and resilience in this ever changing world.
My intention is to journey with you to enable you to feel more empowered towards living a fulfilling, whole and meaningful life. I hold a BACP professional qualification at post-graduate level from the University of Brighton. I work with adults from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. I specialise in hoarding, bereavement, anxiety, depression and psychosis and my passion has been supporting clients to explore their neurodiversity. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art which helps me to confidently work creatively therapeutically.

There is nothing we have not heard before nor coped with.

Referring your child to CAMHS can be daunting. We are here to help and support you and your family understand what lies ahead. Admitting you have a substance problem can be a lonely path, we are here to guide you in finding the right support that suits you.
